How much does a mow cost?
Every lawn's a bit different, so I quote per yard — it depends on the size, the layout and how often you'd like me. The quote's free and there's no obligation. Get a quick quote here or give me a call and I'll sort it on the spot.
What's actually included in a mow?
The lot, every visit: I mow at the right height for your grass, edge along paths and beds, line-trim around fences, trees and the clothesline, and blow the footpaths and driveway clean. Clippings are caught and taken away, or mulched back into the lawn — whatever you prefer.
Should I catch or mulch the clippings?
Both work — it's your call. Mulching chops the clippings fine and drops them back to feed the lawn, which is great in the growing season. Catching keeps everything spotless and is best when the grass is long or wet. I'm happy to do either, just let me know.
How often should I get it mowed?
Most Shire homes go fortnightly, stepping up to weekly through spring and summer when the grass takes off. If you'd just like a one-off mow to tidy things up, that's no worries either. I'll suggest a rhythm and you can change it any time — no lock-in.
Why 100% battery instead of petrol?
It's quieter, so it doesn't bother the neighbours or upset the dog. There are no petrol fumes drifting across the yard, no oil spills, and the sharp blades slice cleanly rather than tearing — which is kinder to your lawn. It's better for the Shire we all share, too.
Do I need to be home?
No need at all. As long as I can get to the lawn (a side gate is perfect), I'll do the job and leave it spotless with the gate latched behind me. Plenty of customers are at work or out and about when I come.
