How much does hedge trimming cost?
Every hedge is different, so I quote per job — it depends on the size, the height and how overgrown it is. The quote's free and there's no obligation. Get a quick quote here or give me a call and I'll sort it on the spot.
What's included in a trim?
I shape the hedges and shrubs into clean, even lines, reshape any overgrown or leggy growth, and do the tops, faces and sides evenly. Then I rake up and take away every clipping so the lawn and paths are left spotless.
Will you take the clippings away?
Yes — raking up and removing all the green waste is part of the job, so you're never left with a pile by the bin. If you'd rather I leave it for your own green bin, just say the word.
How often should hedges be trimmed?
Most Shire hedges like a trim two to four times a year, with the main tidy heading into spring and another before summer. Fast growers may want more; I'll suggest a rhythm and you can change it any time — no lock-in.
Can you bring an overgrown hedge back?
Usually, yes. I'll reshape it gradually so it fills back in healthy rather than going bare. Really woody, neglected hedges can take a couple of visits to bring back — I'll be honest about what's realistic when I quote.
Do I need to be home?
No need at all. As long as I can get to the hedges (a side gate is perfect), I'll do the job and leave it spotless with the gate latched behind me. Plenty of customers are at work or out and about when I come.
